Giriraj Braj Yatra — Govardhan Parikrama, Barsana, Nandgaon & Kokilavan
Two sacred days — walk the hill Krishna lifted, ascend Radha Rani's throne, and wander Krishna's enchanted forests
Overview
An immersive two-day pilgrimage through the very heart of Braj. Day 1 is devoted entirely to Govardhan Parikrama — the holy 21 km circumambulation of Giriraj Ji, the sacred hill Lord Krishna lifted on his little finger to shelter all of Braj from Indra's wrath. Walk through Mukharwind, bathe at Radha Kund & Shyam Kund, marvel at Kusum Sarovar, and receive blessings at Mansi Ganga and Daan Ghati Temple before completing the parikrama. Day 2 takes you into the outer and hidden jewels of Braj — beginning at Barsana's magnificent Shriji Temple perched atop a hill, then descending through Prem Sarovar and Maan Garh to Nandgaon, where Nand Bhavan and Nandishwar Hill await. The journey culminates in the sacred and serene Kokilavan forest — where Krishna disguised himself as a Kokila bird to enchant Radha Rani — with darshan at the ancient Kokileshwar Mahadev Temple.
